Connecticut Chaos

Why should the government exert stricter gun control on its people when 20 US children are killed by one insane man? This is the same government that uses drones to kill hundreds of Middle Eastern children. Anyone else see a conflict of interest in begging our government to stop us from getting access to guns? Or are we to assume US children are more important? Perhaps that it's only "evil" if someone pulls the trigger, but not if an unmanned craft does the dirty work.
